About Social Justice in Focus:
The Social Justice in Focus project is a collaboration between the Child and Youth Refugee Research Coalition (CYRRC), Mount Saint Vincent University, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University), Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) and Youth Art Connection (YAC). Over a 6-month period, a group of youth with refugee experience participated in a series of workshops to explore concepts and issues of social justice and social activism and learn about participatory photography methods – the use of photography to represent specific issues or questions of concern.
