Lyn Morland is a doctoral candidate in social work at McGill University and is currently Co-Investigator on a CYRRC project (PI Nicole Ives, PhD). Lyn has devoted over 35 years to improving services for refugees and immigrants in child welfare, youth development, education, and health/mental health care, with a focus on refugee/immigrant participation. She has conducted mixed methods research in multiple settings and directed health care, social services, children’s services, and national technical assistance initiatives in mental health and in children’s services (www.brycs.org ). As BRYCS Director for ten years, she developed a Website/Clearinghouse on refugee and immigrant children and families, hundreds of original publications, coached and trained practitioners, and fostered collaboration between refugee services, child welfare, and education systems at the federal, state, and local levels. Lyn holds an MSW and MA in Anthropology and Medical Behavioral Sciences.
