I am a PhD student with background in Public Health Nursing (PHN). PHNs in Norway run child and family health centres, youth health clinics, work in schools and refugee centres. In Norway PHNs meet almost 100% of the population between 0-20 years and follow their development. Core concepts are health promotion, prevention, salutogenesis, resilience, normal development and adaptation. My background is therefore in public health and childrens development, and the topic of my research is health and wellbeing in youth with refugee experiences. I have done a survey with syrian youth in Norway, and looked at health outcomes (positive and negative) and protective and risk factors. This will be followed up one year after. Right now I am looking at Quality of life in the syrian youth.
